Picacho Peak (Little Picacho) – Dangerous Bolts!
The DPS received a report about worn-out and dangerous bolts on the false summit of DPS listed Picacho Peak located in Imperial County. One bolt failed on a recent climb of the peak, and an adjoining bolt is loose. Climbers are urged to exercise extreme caution and not take any undue risk when climbing the peak.…

Peaks Delisted
Maturango, Argus, and Navajo have been voted to be delisted. These peaks have been suspended for a while. Maturango and Argus Peaks are on military reservations and accessing those peaks are illegal and potentially dangerous. Navajo Mountain is on the Navajo Indian reservation, and the Navajo Nation does not want people hiking to that peak.
