Route to Ajo: Follow the trail to Bull Pasture Overlook, descend to the pasture and climb to the south ridge via any number of canyons which cut its west face. Follow the ridge north. An alternate route, less pleasant because of thick brush is the north fork of Estes Canyon to the saddle and then SE to the summit.

COMING ATTRACTIONS---

April 26-27 Two peaks in the Last Chance Range in Northern Death Valley area. Arkel Erb will see to it that you are put on top.
May 4 Sat Sierra Club Annual Banquet, Miramar Hotel, Santa Monica
May 4-5 Inyo & Keynot. Mt Inyo is an Emblem Pk, while Keynot Pk is one of our vantage point summits. Paul Nelson & Bill Clifton take over this weekend.
May 25-26 Waucoba Mtn and Andrews Pk. Waucoba is right north of Mt Inyo overlooking Saline Valley and is a dome type of top. Plenty of trees too. Dick Sykes recommends this event, as he is the leader.
Memorial Day An exp1oratory trek into the Ruby Mtns of Nevada, a first for the DPS, Leader John Thornton has some ideas as to what will be accomplished over these four days. Sounds like a fine effort into a brand new area for most of us.
June 15-16 The last DPS event of this season will be to our old favorite height, Mt DuDois, in the White Range. Be prepared for snow, as it has been known to lie until Labor Day atop this high flattop. Bill Hunt and George Barnes co-lead this one that cells backs its visitors time and time again. Try not to miss this last climb before tackling the summer in the across-valley Sierra Nevada.
