OUTINGS CHAIR REPORT BY GREG
ROACH Above are all the trips for the new schedule as well as some trips
which can only be found in The Sage. We have a great list of trips for the
upcoming November to February Schedule. Including two double list finishers,
the Mamedalin's on McCullough December 17th and the Roach's on Spirit November
19th. I also understand that Eric Siering is planning on finishing the list on
a private trip to Little Picacho December 3rd. These trips will provide plenty
of opportunities to celebrate our achievements as well as good comradeship.
I still have not heard from any leaders who want to lead the 4th class
desert peaks. Come on all you "E" rated leaders. The Sierra Club now has the
insurance |
necessary to lead these
trips. I would be more than happy to schedule the first Desert Peaks Section
"restricted trip". The Sierra Peaks Section has already successfully lead 4th
class climbs under the new insurance policy. We can too. Who wants to lead a
trip to Baboquivari. Weaver's Needle, Little Picacho, or the Palm Canyon Route
on Signal Peak? These are some of the best peaks on "The List". Give me a call
at (818) 790 - 0935, 1 would be glad to hear from you.
Thanks to all
the leaders who have planned trips. It looks like we have another good climbing
season to look forward to.
See you in the Desert, Greg

The trek will emphasize the cultural aspects of Nepal. We will stay at
relatively low elevations, but the hiking will be challenging. Mountain views
in this region are unsurpassed. Total cost is $2800 including airfare. Call
