ACONCAGUA again climbed by the DPS

Mark Adrian, Bill Rundel, Bill Hill and Shelly Rogers climbed Aconcagua by the usual route from Mendoza. They reached the summit at 22,841 feet on January 1, 1994 - day 14 of the climb involving more than 20,000 feet of elevation gain. Dave Jurasevich turned back at 16,000 ft because of pulmonary edema and is recovering nicely. Two others in the party also did not make the peak. DPSer Steve Smith and another group made the summit a year ago. - Dave Jurasevich
