The CAL FED on Vermont Ave has been our monthly meeting place for several years. Unfortunately the riots have caused CAL FED's insurance company to cancel coverage for such purposes. Many thanks to CAL FED for allowing us the use their building free of charge.
Unfortunately the current Angeles Chapter schedule had already been printed when CAL FED learned that it was losing it's insurance, so DON'T GO TO THE ADDRESS SHOWN IN THE SCHEDULE FOR THE OCTOBER 7 MEETING. The monthly meeting will now be held at the Department of Water and Power, 111 North Hope. DWP the tall building just West of the Music Center near downtown LA. Many other sections use DWP for their meetings and people tend to gather to socialize in the cafeteria a half hour or so before the meetings begin at 7:30. We will be using rooms A4A/A4B, which are adjacent to the cafeteria. Many thanks to DWP for allowing us to use these rooms free of charge. -- John McCully
