The new management committee had
their first meeting on 5 June at Bill T's house. Some topics discussed:
- $$$$: The main income for the Section is
SAGE subscription/membership fees. The main expense is the banquet. It was also
agreed to make the banquet pay for itself without raising the past price of $22
if possible.
- BANQUET: Bill Gray will check with the
Pacifica Hotel to see if they have a banquet room available for 6 May
1992.
- PEAKS GUIDE: Dave Jurasevich will have the
new, improved Peaks Guide (higher in fiber, lower in cholesterol) ready for
printing about 1 September. There is one old Peaks Guide left at the old price
of $20 (postage $2.00). Available from your treasurer, Wendy Ruess.
- MERCHANDISE: DPS T-shirts ($10.00/postage
$2.00), sweatshirts ($18.00/postage $2.00), hooded sweatshirts ($21.00/postage
$2.00), patch ($2.50/postage $.29), finisher pins ($10.70/postage $.75), emblem
pins ($9.63/postage $75), and peaks lists ($.50/postage $.29) can also be
purchased from your treasurer.
- MONTHLY MEETINGS: It was agreed that monthly
Section meetings will continue to be held at Cal Fed. Meetings are scheduled
for: 2 Oct. 6 Nov, 4 Dec, 5 Feb. 4 Mar, 1 Apr. Anna Valkass will bring
refreshments for October meeting. Maximum reimbursement for refreshments will
be $25 per meeting.
- MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE: Next meeting will be
25 September, 7:30 at Bill T's. Normally, they will be held before the regular
section meetings.
