As the evening progressed,
out of the darkness various ghostly figures, barely human, would appear. We
even had our fortunes read by Madam Zonga. Pumpkin judging was VERY difficult,
they were all winners. And costumes, many outdid themselves which really made
this trip to be a delightful Halloween to remember. We have a new, aspiring
hiker and accomplished guitar player named Jamil Saucasz who is from Lebanon. A
fine addition to any party. Yes, he knows our folk-songs and more.

Sunday we carpooled to visit both the nearby Kumeyaay indian village site with
perhaps 50 mortero easily visible as well as the pictographs and
spectacularoverlook in Smuggler's Canyon. After a lite lunch we said so-long to
this great group of ghouls. Participants also included Ron Lanyi, Sarah &
Chris Hoffmon, Ed & Elsie Kosuta, Carol Campbell and Carole Bersani and
Claire ?. Thanks to all on this trip - they made the difference! --
