The reign of this king is over. I have surrendered my crown and power to the Queen, Sherry Harsh. The job requires some work, but there also is a lot of fun and satisfaction, and I know that Sherry will do well.
I thank my management committee for working with me the past year. The membership can be proud to have such fine supportive people. At the banquet I said everything that had to be said, so I will not repeat it here.
With my final words as chair, I urge everyone to take more active role in the DPS: leading trips, running for office, do volunteer work, or help conservation efforts. This way everyone will have more enjoyment out of being a member, and satisfaction of accomplishment.
