December 9-10 Sat.-Sun. Argus, Maturango, Parkinson: In order to have passes ready to go on CLNW base, please send drivers license, car license, model, year and names of all hikers to Beth Henry, Rt l-Box38-D6, Littlerock, CA 93543. The Fraciscos will be in Mexico previous to the Argus climb. Last minute names and data will be phoned long distance December 9. Please help keep the phone bill down by mailing information in early. Later applicants will be handled Dec. 9 while we all wait. LEADERSHIP TRAINING Under the sponsorship of the Angeles Chapter Leadership Training Committee an outings leader training course will be offered at several sites starting early in January 1972. The course comprises: Weekly Lectures Leadership and the Sierra Club Psychological and Physiological Aspects of Leadership Emergency Procedures, Survey Emergency Procedures, Case Studies Environmental Awareness First Aid Sequence Intensive Weekend and Supplementary Lectures Field Seminars (in conjunction with MTC) Map and Compass Rock Climbing Ice Axe Advanced Field Exercises Rock Climbing Snow Climbing and Travel Cross-country Search and Rescue Clinic The course is divided into three segments: Introductory, Basic, and Advanced. Certificates will be awarded for successful completion, and distinctive patches are available for those who finish the Basic and Advanced courses.
