Desert Deer
Sung by Randy Danta and Doug Mantle at the 5th Annual Argus Peak BBQ
To the Tune of "Guinevere" from the Musical "Camelot"

Desert deer, desert deer, oh they found a desert deer
It's been five years, so it seems, since the dawning of a dream
On a day, dark and drear, came to trial desert deer
By the jury, to their shame, he was sentenced to the flame
How the clouds filled the sky, on the day that he died
There was praying far and near, for our fallen desert deer.

I'll wager the BLM is hoping he will return
It's lucky we picked this lonely spot for the deer to burn
When the world is dark and grey what time could be more ideal
For drinking a toast to our desert deer
Desert deer, desert deer, let's all give thanks for desert deer
And to Ron Jones, and all those here, for giving us desert deer
Desert deer, desert deer, desert deer.

Skinner
A (printable) limeric by Randy Danta

There once was a mule named Skinner
Who was never a liar or sinner
Who 'though he lived right
The Lord took him one night
And made him into a DPS dinner.
