The summer duldrums are upon us. Desert activities have slowed. The Section's management committee is in recess and the secretary has no meeting minutes to report. Nonetheless, some of the Section members have been active and here we will take the time and pleasure to report the status changes. First, I would like to report that during the months of July and August a total of three desert enthusiasts have renewed their membership in the DPS and subscriptions to the Desent Sage for at least another year. Unfortunately, I must also report that one former desert enthusiast has asked to have their name dropped from the DPS membership and subscription roster. As Section secretary, I would like to solicit the membership's opinion as to whether we should in the future publish the names of those individuals who either fail to renew their membership and/or subscriptions after six months or ask to be dropped from the membership roster? Your opinions and input are invited. Second, let us welcome one new member and two subscriberers to the DPS. The new folks are: |
