Dear Ron:

Enclosed is the list of upcoming trips for the next schedule (#264). I was pleased with the great input I received from all the leaders. Thank you.

In response to the DPS Management Committee Ballot & Peak List Survey in the Desert Sage issue of March 1993, I feel that we should keep the list unchanged. The list already has great areas to explore. As a new member to the DPS section I would like to do the whole list when I am still young; but if we keep adding new peaks to it, I will never catch up. If we remove peaks from the list, I think people would be very disappointed. If some peaks are removed from the list especially the ones already climbed, new members would be discouraged. During the past election the majority of the DPS members voted against adding new peaks to the list. So, this issue is on a stand-by for the present time. Perhaps next years I would be willing to consider adding new peaks proposed to the list.

See you at the next DPS meeting.
