I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing DPS Secretaiy, Pat Acheson, the continuing DPS Treasurer, Ron Grau, and the continuing DPS Membership Roll Keeper, Ron Bartell, for their assistance in helping me assume the responsibility of the new DPS Secretary. Without their help I would have probably been lost in a sea of envelopes containing miscellaneous requests for the services of the Secretary. From here on I will strive to do my best to keep up the standard set by my predecessors. First, I would like to report that during the months of May and June a total of thirty-seven desert enthusiasts have renewed their subscriptions to the Desert Sage for at least another year. Also, we are pleased to welcome three new members and one subscriber to the DPS. The new folks are:
