ANNUAL DESERT PEAKS SECTION OUTINGS REPORT MAY 1992 TO MAY 1993 BY PATY KLINE

This was a great year for DPS outings. Out of the 62 trips scheduled, 44 went. Almost all of the 18 that were cancelled were done because of the record rains and floods we had this rainy season. The drought is officially over. I enjoyed very much being your Outings Chair. The outings are the heart of the section. There were a lot of accomplishments recorded in the Sage, the most awesome one being a 1st, 2nd and 3rd DPS List Finisher on Pleasant Pt-on:. 10-17-92 by Bob Hicks, Duane McRuer and Doug Mantle respectively. Below are three lists. The first list is of our Emblem and List Finishers sent in to our Secretary this last year. Next is a list of the people who led the outings. I want to extend a special thank you to them, without whom these outings would not have been possible. The list shows the number or leads or assists each leader had for the year. The last list shows the outings by date along with the peaks climbed, leaders and numbers of people who climbed.
