COUNCIL REP REPORT . . .

Financial Focus

Biggest area of focus for the Angeles Chapter at this time is financial. A severe budget deficit is already being experienced for this year. At least one of the contributing factors is the continuing decline in chapter membership. The Executive Committee has passed two resolutions in response: one is to move the Southern Sierran to bimonthly status during 1993, and the second stiffens payment requirements for the Calendar section.

Boundary Study

A special membership committee has been studying Group boundaries to see if realignment might improve participation. Of particular interest is an improved attraction by the Club for ethnic communities, especially in the "inner city" of Los Angeles.

A proposal appears to be in the offing to initiate an inner city group, and to move current members from various area codes into the group to seed its launch. I'll follow this one and update you if any changes are proposed.

Chapter Office Move

A reminder: the Chapter is planning to move its offices the first of September to quarters with more space and safer parking.
