ANGELES CHAPTER COUNCIL REPORT

October 28, 1991

Louis Quirarte showed us an attractive Centennial Patch at the Council Meeting. He announced that for the Sierra Club Centennial Celebration from May 1991 to May 1992 if you lead 100 miles on Sierra Club outings you are eligib1e for a Centennial patch. Just send in $5.00 to the Chapter Headquarters in care of Louis with your list of hikes led and you will receive the special patch. You can collect as many patches as you have led 100's of miles.

November 25, 1991

The new officers of the Council starting in January will be Chairman: Bob Marshall, Vice-Chair: Franz Hirschmann, and Secretary: Vi Grasso.

Also, an important announcement concerning entry to Abbey Building where the Sierra Club Headquarters are, was made. On weekday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. you must enter from the glass door immediately north of the parking garage entrance. Then take the main elevator to the 3rd floor where the Sierra Club office is. Anything else will set off the alarm system. You may exit the same way until midnight on weekdays without setting off the alarm. Needless to say, the Executive Committee is looking for another building. The lease is up in March.

Respectfully submitted,
