The leader supplies directions to the trail head, but carpooling and transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the participant. Club insurance does not extend to owners, drivers or passengers of private cars. Riders customarily share expenses with drivers. The contribution varies with the vehicle, the number of riders, the road conditions, etc. A suggested amount is five cents per mile per person.
