on a major revision of the
guide, which should be completed in time for the fall climbing season. We plan
to sell a packet of updated guides at cost, perhaps $4 or $5. SAGE EDITORship is changing. Anna & Mans Valkass have done a superb job; they planned from the beginning to take the job only through May 1990. We are most fortunate in being able to convince a 28-year DPS member, ex-chair, list finisher, Mr DPS Trip Leader himself, Ron Jones, to take the task. Let's support Ron by WRITING UP those TRIPS! DUES: SAGE printing & mailing costs have been $8.25 per issue this past year, so we've raised the DPS dues/subscription to $8. We'll probably go to $9 at the end of the year. SPS is $8; HPS is $7; the Sage is still one of the last great bargains at $1.33 per issue. RENEW if you haven't; we're pruning no-pays from the mailing list. LAST HURRAH: It's been a fun year; see ya at meetings and in the Great American Desert! -Dale |
