MONTHLY MEETINGS Nov 1: An important and interesting program on the present and future status of our California desert areas: "Multiple Use Management of Our California Desert Public Lands" is the program to be given by Alden Slevers, BLM Manager of the Barstow Resources Area. Dec 6: Elden Hughes, Director of California Desert Protective League, a new member of the California Desert Advisory Council, and past Chapter Chair, will speak of and show an outstanding selection of desert photos covering "California Desert, The Role of Wilderness.
