MANAGEMENT TRAINING WORKSHOP - FEBRUARY 11th

The Angeles Chapter Management Training-Volunteers Workshop takes place Saturday, February 11, 9am-3pm, at the Dept of Water & Power Bldg in downtown L. A. Everyone is invited.

The Workshop is designed to help current and new Group, Section and Chapter Committee officers and appointees understand their responsibilities. It is also invaluable for all interested in these positions in the future. You do not have to be a member of a Committee to attend. It is a chance to learn the volunteer opportunities available and meet the leadership of other groups.

Working with a Management Committee of a Group or Section is the best way to get involved in the Sierra Club in your area of interest or local community. You can take pride in being an active member of the Angeles Chapter, one of the largest outings organizations in the country, and involved historically in the conservation movement.

The Workshop covers "How-To" sessions, conducted by outstanding leaders, for various Management Committee positions including Publicity, Membership, Treasurers, Programs, How to be an Outings or Conservation Chair, political activity (SCCOPE) and How to Chair a Management Committee.

No reservations are necessary. Bring brown bag lunch and your own cup. The Management Training-Volunteers Workshop takes place Saturday, February 11, 9am-3pm, Dept of Water & Power Bldg, 111 N. Hope St. (opp Music Center), Temple St. exit Hollywood Freeway. Free parking. The organizing committee for the Workshop are Howard Baker, Allyn Cooksey, Robin Ives, Evelyn Levine and Don Tidwell. Their phone numbers are in the back of the Schedule if you need to reach them.
