Project #6 - The cleaning and repair (especially the door) of the shed (east part of) located on the north side of the depot bldg. This is to be outfitted as a work shed for Obie. We wish to line the interior with pre-painted 1/4 inch plywood. Shelves and tool hanging racks need to be installed. I want a lead man (honcho) to oversee this project. Schedule is undated - possibly the last 2 week-ends of May. We need to discover an electrical source to be able to run power tools.

Project #7 - Restoration of the electric lighting system along the promenade. In need of repair are the lamp posts, bulbs, globes and probably the wiring too. The electrical source is the street lighting system and not from within the bldg. We need a volunteer lead man. I think Elden Hughes has a sample globe that needs to be duplicated. The lead man can be looking into the requirements.

Project #8 - The trimming and priming of all the deciduous trees (elm (?)). The trees are full of dead branches and snags, so are quite unsightly. Members of our board have had contract-type talks with professional tree trimmers, who presumably would come in with cherry pickers and chain saws. We could save a lot of money by doing this ourselves with volunteer labor. This is probably out of scope for the May work parties.

Project #9 - Landscaping. Twenty more euonymus japonica "grandifolia" shrubs are needed (1 gal size) to be planted along both sides of the west sidewalk and part of the front of bldg. It would be nice, but not absolutely necessary, to haul these out in a pick-up truck, altho a station wagon would do it. This is not a big job (2 ladies, one half a day). This can be done May 21 or May 28 week-end.

So, very promptly make your plans to come out several week-ends. Make your plans known to me, Henry Heusinkveld. Fill out the appl. form if that will handle it, but don't hesitate to phone me any time of the day or night.
