2 DEATH VALLEY RANGES

PYRAMID PEAK 6703 ft. (Guide No. 2.15) Class 2

MAP: USGS 15'; Ryan

MILEAGE: 281 miles ALL paved, from Los Angeles.

DRIVE: Death Valley Junction, CA. drive on SR-190 West 12.2 miles toward Furnace Creek over the high point and down toward the monument boundary to a poor dirt road going North, this appears to be a gully but rapidly turns into a road. Drive up this road .3 mile and park.

HIKE: Walk Northeast towards the low point on the skyline staying to the left of bump 3661'. Beyond here take the large gully on your left and exit as it gets steep further on, hike Northwest to point 5100', continue up the southeast ridge to summit.

GAIN: 3700 ft. ROUNDTRIP: 10 miles, 8 hours.
