| CHAIRMAN'S
CORNER This special Sage is issued to encourage many past members/subscribers to renew their membership. It is mailed to all whose names appeared on one of the rosters for the last three years. (See Sherry Harsh's letter). It is also reminded that starting with October, our meeting place has been changed to Griffith Park Ranger Station (see the announcement). The place is not difficult to get to, and is very nice. We also plan to have refreshments. In the May-July issue of the Sage the new Management Committee was introduced. All of the members are enthusiastic, capable and willing to work for DPS. If you have any suggestions, gripes, etc., please see any of us and we will see what we can do. | We have started
work on the Sage. Barbara Reber, of course is the editor in charge of the Sage.
John Leonard, the associate editor, is responsible for a special section of the
publication, which he will be creating. He will also assist Barbara in any way
she may request. In the last issue, we published abbreviated minutes of the
Management Committee Meeting. We plan to publish minutes of all meetings in
order to keep members informed of what is being done. The minutes are
"unapproved" so that they can be published in a more timely manner. I hope that all of you participate in our activities and also take active part in shaping and achieving the above stated objectives. |
