The Desert Sage
THE CHAIRMAN'S CORNER

"Sumer is icumen in. . ." Cuckoo Song [Circa 1250]

With the approach of summer, we also approach the replacement of the present committee with a new one, At about the time you read this, a new committee will be elected, a new chairman appointed and someone else will have to accomplish all the things a chairman is supposed to do. (My wife will be very happy to relinquish the responsibility).

It has been interesting. I hope that my natural disorganization has not caused any lasting problems.

I have learned that the most difficult and demanding tasks on the committee is that of program chairperson, held this year by Betty McCosker, I want to thank her for both the effort involved (considerable) and the result thereof (excellent).
