We have just received the results of the elections of the ExCom and we find, that Barbara Reber made it this year, much to our pleasure.
Barbara is a reasoned individual and a non-extremist, who is performing out of a sense of duty. The work for such people is not very pleasant and is non-ego inflating, but it is necessary to maintain the Sierra Club as an effective organization.
We need. more people like Barbara to run for the ExCom in order to reduce its tendency to take extremist positions and to ignore the wishes of the active outings members of the Angeles Chapter.
Extremism reduces political power.
