You are reminded that the Annual Banquet is May 3, 1978 at Luminarias Restaurant in Monterey Park. Directions were provided you in the last newsletter and a directional map is shown below.
The ballots as initially sent out had to be invalidated due to incompleteness.
Therefore, the time within which to get them to the secretary is extended to April 19, 1978. Be sure to complete your ballot and see that they reach Ron Jones no later than April 19, 1978.
The announcement of the ballot results will be made at the Banquet on May 3, 1978.
It has been a pleasure serving you as your chairman this year. I wish to express my gratitude to the members of the Management Committee for their work and support. We have attempted to provide you with a full and varied schedule of climbs, to conduct meetings that were succinct and to the point, and to offer you a selection of interesting programs. To create new interests and challenges, pour committee devised a list of Desert traverses.
It is hoped that you have enjoyed this year in the Desert and that our efforts have contributed to that enjoyment.
Please do not fail to attend the Banquet so you can be a part of your Management Committee's "Last Hurrah!" It will be a night to remember. We hope to see you there.
