Welcome to another exciting climbing
season in the desert. A good climbing schedule has been devised for the Winter
schedule. Advance notice of the schedule appears elsewhere in this issue.
The Management Committee has adopted a series of DESERT TRAVERSES in order
to enhance your climbing and hiking pleasure. The initial series appears

The adoption of this series of
Traverses is intended to foster ecologically responsible transportation
practices by use of the bus trip and to broaden the scope of our knowledge of
the desert environment which will deepen our appreciation for this fragile
wilderness.
This year's schedule contemplates the scheduling of a
Desert Traverses or two and hopefully' at least one Meeting's Program will be
devoted to these areas. |
