Item 4 recognizes list completion status and a list completion pin.

ITEM 4: PROPOSED CHANGE TO ARTICLE IX, EMBLEMS AND PEAK LIST

Section 4. The Section shall award list completion status to a regular member who:

(a) Has been an emblem member of the Section for at least one year. (b) Has climbed all of the peaks on the Peak List as of the date of application. (c) Submits a list of the peaks climbed with dates of ascent to the Secretary-Treasurer.


Section 5. The Section shall establish a list completion pin which shall be available to list completion members upon payment therefor.

ITEM 5 COMMENTS

This item clarifies the manner in which additions and deletions to the Peak List are proposed and placed on the ballot. It adds a new article for this subject.

ITEM 5: PROPOSED CHANGE TO ARTICLE XIII, PEAK LIST ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS

Section 1. The Mountaineering Committee shall propose additions or deletions to the Peak List to the Management Committee before the regular January meeting. The Management Committee shall approve or disapprove these proposals and shall propose those changes that it approves to the membership at the February meeting and at the March meeting. The proposed changes, together with arguments for and against, if available, shall then be placed on the ballot in accord with Article VII.

Section 2. Any regular member may submit recommendations for additions or deletions to the Peak List to the Mountaineering Committee November 30. If the proposal is not approved and submitted to the membership at the February meeting pursuant to Section 1. Article XIII, then at the March meeting the member may submit a petition signed by 25 regular members and the proposed additions or deletions will placed on the ballot.

Section 3. No peak addition to the Peak List shall be placed on the ballot without its first being scheduled and climbed as a DPS sponsored outing.

Section 4. Changes to the Peak List require a majority vote of the members voting.
