EDITOR'S CORNER BARBARA REBER

Upon acquiring the sections historical documents, I find we do not have a complete set of newsletters. Hopefully, someone has a complete set they will donate to the section, or if not perhaps, we can Xerox the missing issues.
We do have a very interesting scrapbook with many magazine articles by section professional writers. I will attempt to print some of these under the title "Treasures from the DPS Scrapbook".

CONSERVATION CORNER PAUL LIPSOHN

This season we are going to attempt to pursue a different approach to the conservation effort, which has always fallen woefully short of a group effort.
We are offering an opportunity to devote one or more week-ends to the more physical aspects of conservation, beginning with the Nov. 9-10 Darwin Canyon cleanup with the BLM, and continuing through 4 spring maintenance trips with the DFG.
At the October meeting, the DFG will present a short slide show, detailing what has to be done. Appeals for volunteers will be made throughout the season.
How about including one of these trips in your winter schedule?
