NOTES
a) The summit is 3/4 mile southeast of elevation 11123.
b) There is a locked gate two miles south of Barcroft Laboratory. Permission must be obtained from the Navy to drive past this point. Hiking is allowed.
c) The summit is three miles northwest of Cerro Gordo Mine. The mine is private property and permission to park and hike in the area should be obtained from the caretaker.
d) Third class summit block with no exposure.
e) The register is now on peak 6394 which is one mile south of the range high point, peak 6401.
f) Third class summit block with some exposure.
g) The register is on the south pinnacle which is slightly lower than the rounded summit about 1/4 mile to the north.
h) The northern and lower of the two Mopah Peaks.
i) Spectre is .3 mile southwest of elevation 4416, called Tensor Peak. The peak .3 mile east of Spectre is called Dyadic Peak.
j) The register is on the eastern of the two northern high points on the ridge.
k) This peak is located in the Cocopahs Range south of Mexicali.
l) This pyramidal peak is west of the mouth of Canon de Guadalupe along the southwestern edge of Laguna Salada.
m) This is the high point of the Sierra San Pedro Martir and is about 100 miles south of Mexicali. It is also known as La Providencia and El Picacho del Diablo
n) This peak lies southwest of Sonoita on the Sonoran mainland.


Membership in the section is obtained by climbing any six qualifying peaks and submitting a list of them along with 2 dollars for a subscription to the NEWSLETTER to the section secretary. Emblem status is obtained by climbing fifteen qualifying peaks, five of which must be emblem peaks.
