ARTICLE X :
APPEALS
| Section 1. |
Any
member may appeal in writing to the Chapter Executive Committee for a final
determination regarding action of the Section or of the Management
Committee. |
ARTICLE XI :
COMMITTEES
| Section 1. |
The
Mountaineering Committee shall consist of three members. The Vice-Chairman will
be the chairman of the committee. One member will be appointed by the Chairman,
for a two year term, while the third member will be a carry-over from the
preceding year. The Mountaineering Committee shall carry on the work of
exploring the desert mountain areas, submit proposed trips to the
Vice-Chairman, and make recommendations to the Management Committee for any
changes in climbing requirements for membership status or emblem status. The
Mountaineering Committee shall recommend peaks to be added to, or removed from,
the Desert Peaks Section list. Such peaks recommended shall be considered at a
regular meeting of the Section, and upon being approved by a majority vote of
the members of the Section who are present at the meeting, shall be added to or
removed from the Desert Peaks Section list. |
ARTICLE XII :
AMMENDMENTS
| Section 1. |
These
Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority of the members present at a duly
constituted meeting of the Section, provided notice of such amendment is sent
to each member at least one month in advance of the meeting. |
