For those of you with less than totel recall and for any newcomers to the section, this is the DPS Newsletter. It has been in exile for over two years since the Most Reverend R. Greenawalt abdicated the editorship. Out of the anarchy following the abdication new leaders have finally appeared who will attempt to make order out of chaos (or vice versa). These valiant warriors are John Vitz and Jerry Haven, who have exactly zero qualificatlons for the job, The Newsletter will henceforth be sanctioned by the NCAA, AAU, and USOC as there will be a total lack of Professionalism in the endeavor. All trip rite-ups (leaders get on the stick) and other correspondence should be directed to the aforementioned trolls. A new DPS season is well underway and it is approptiate that the new management committee be introduced. John Vitz got the easy job of chairman (being power-hungry); Jon Inskeep was conned into being vice—chairman (being inherently evil); Fran Smith happily accepted the position of secretary-treasurer (being money hungry); Les Stockton got stuck with being program chairman (being socially inclined); and Jerry Haven volunteered to do little or nothing as the fifth member (being lazy). Also both Mummy Mtn. and Mitchell B.M. were added to the qualifying list as a further result of the elections. |
