Robert "BobCat" Thompson Active in the DPS: 1975-1988 Active in HPS DPS Bob is one of the most prolific leaders in the Sierra Club. He has lead over 500 trips for the Hundred Peaks Section alone. He is a punster. As trail sweep he entertains the slower hikers with his notorious "toe jokes". Bob was known to many people by his knickname "Bobcat". His personalized license plate also reads "BOBCAT". For many years Bob Thompson lived on Thompson Street. Bob was the Postmater in the City of Montrose until he retired from the postal service. At the time he became Postmaster he was the youngest person to hold that position in the country.
