Active Ski Mountaineers; SPS; RCS; DPS
A former chair of the Ski Mountaineers Sy also was an active leader in the RCS and SPS. He chaired the RCS in 1963 and the Ski Mountaineers 1965-68. Apart from his expertise on skis Sy was best known for his skills on rock-climbing routes. He retired early from his Los Angeles-area engineering position and relocated to Bishop where he could enjoy views each day from his new home.-Jerry Keating
