John Nienhuis (1901-1993) Active in the DPS: 1955-1968 Active in NSS; Local Hikes; Pasadena Group; Camping John Nienhuis was a mailcarrier who took a mailcarrier's holiday by hiking with the Sierra Club every chance he got. He had a natural curiosity and gravitated to the Natural Science Section for which he led many trips over the years. John's tall lanky figure was a regular fixture on mid-week hikes throughout the '70s and '80s.-Bob Cates This may be taken on Montgomery Peak.
